We worked up an appetite and hit the hotel’s complimentary breakfast as soon as we got back. hotel breakfasts are excellent these days! There was a waffle maker, oatmeal, lots of bread options, yogurt, juice, coffee, fruit and cereal.

Ben hit up the waffle bar and I started with oatmeal. I love oatmeal made in bulk for some reason.

I topped the oats with a little sugar, cereal and PB

I paired it with an egg for protein staying power and a little a lot more granola and fruit.

My feast (I got full so I’m saving the apple for later).

And I scored a bite of Ben’s waffle.

Now we’re hitting up the race expo and exploring Phoenix! See ya later!

They use a lot of organic ingredients and agave instead of sugar. but the most important thing is, it tastes good.

Anyways, Camiseta Olympique Lyonnais today I felt very exhausted and HUNGRY!!! I was hungry before my run and ate a piece of PB&J toast, but it wasn’t enough. I tried to eat my arm, but it was too hairy.

I did a slow 6.80 miles before rushing home to EAT.

So I devoured some pumpkin pancakes before I could record it.

I went to Costco after my morning shift to fill up on watermelon. Cherry season is so short, I couldn’t resist…I also couldn’t resist eating them in the car.

Tragically, Costco still doesn’t have watermelon?!?!?! These little boob ones do not count. I eat them in one bite, maybe two.

I pimped out a frozen meal with tons of veggies and almonds for lunch. I know they’re not the best, but I love me a good frozen meal

Can someone please send me a real watermelon? Thanks.

Anyways, we left off with me hanging out at my mom’s. I didn’t publish once again last night since I was tired as well as still feeling ‘off’.  even though I wasn’t hungry, I stole a lot of my Camiseta Ajax brother’s fries.

Instead I woke up before 6am as well as my scratchy throat was still angry.

But, I don’t have breast congestion as well as am 1 week away from my marathon so I didn’t want to avoid my Camiseta Sporting CP last weekend run! I fueled up with a cinnamon raisin bagel.

These bagels are so much more bagel-y than bagel thins, however only have 20 more calories.

Served up with peanut butter as well as banana! note the peanut butter dripping off the sides of the bagel. I may save a few calories on the bagel, however I lather on the toppings with blatant disregard for calories. Priorities.

Since it’s my last run as well as I missed my method race last weekend I decided to drive out to long beach to get a feel for the weather condition I can expect next week. The photo makes it look a great deal darker than it was. The sun was happy to be out!

Get prepared to run!

It was about 70 degrees as well as there were tons on runners out! I hope it’s a bit cooler next weekend.

But, I just inspected the weather condition as well as it appears like it will be the exact same today. Oh well, it is what it is…

Today’s run was 8 miles. I kept my speed around goal speed as well as wanted it felt a bit easier Hopefully, it’s just that I’m not 100% today?!

I lastly got my juice on the method home. Hopefully, it acts as a magic potion as well as cures me.

I paired my whole foods hot bar with a piece of buttered sourdough. great bread doesn’t last long around here!

I requirement a nap! But, I’ll be back later to tell ya why October is going to be the craziest month of my life!!!

Stop for a second

Today I spent the day with the family who are getting the home built for them and the volunteers doing the building. The family is made up of a single mom with four sons. The second to the eldest got brain cancer after Katrina and has since had chemo and surgery (he is okay as of now). The second to the youngest just turned 13. He has epilepsy and had a seizure while I was interviewing him.

The family has been living in a MEMA (Mississippi emergency management Agency) trailor for the last two years. before that they were living in a FEMA trailor. Now, they are getting a home built for them by volunteers from several churches in the Maryland area. The churches also raised all the money for the home too. Amazing.

The family is amazing because they are positive, grateful, gracious and lovely. All this despite their health and living situations.

The volunteers are amazing because they have given  Camiseta Valencia time, money and tons of hard work to help a family they Camiseta SL Benfica don’t have any previous connection to.

This is the land the house is on. Mississippi is swampy!

I actually got stuck in the muck within minutes of arriving. Both my feet got stuck up to my ankles. Yuck. But, really not that big of a deal. everyone at the camp packs their own lunch in the morning. They didn’t have any whole grain options, so I went with “Whole grain white” (whatever that means) with mustard and a piece of cheese. It was gross. bad call Monica. Luckily, I also filled my lunch bag with a Kashi bar, apple and naner with PB in a baggie. On the way back to camp I stopped in Wendy’s for a much needed side salad (no veggies today at all) and a beverage ?

I really don’t even know how to describe how I feel after spending the day with all these people. I am so lucky. and I kinda feel that I am so ungrateful. I need to thank God more and complain about my weight less.

Seriously, stop for a second. Be grateful for your family, health, friends, job, home, computer, anything, everything….
